Richard A. Young Public Service Scholarship

This scholarship was established in honor of Representative Young’s thirty years of service and leadership in the Michigan Legislature. The scholarship recognizes outstanding upperclass students with a record of service to their community. Applicants must have achieved junior or senior standing and have demonstrated commitment to public service (for example, in campaigns or political, community, or religious organizations). Applicants will be required to submit a recommendation from a community leader with direct knowledge and experience of the applicant’s community service. Awards may not be applied toward costs associated with participation in a Political Internship Program.
